Transport & Shipping
We are at home when it comes to transportation. We organise your overland, water or air transport – from the country of origin to the port of destination, and then onwards to our warehouse, to you or to your customer. For Bremen and Hamburg we have our own fleet of vehicles, in Antwerp the transport company Stoelen International Transport, a member of the Vollers Group, covers all transport services. Extensive transport equipment for container trucking, silo trucking and cargo trucking are available from us or partner companies at every Vollers location.
In accordance with your wishes, we organise shipments by sea, both in import and export. Via an own agency network, we have special contract rates and, as a result, offer you cost-efficiency, reliability and adherence to delivery dates.
We organise the combination of a variety of different means of transport such as sea freight, rail or road traffic for your goods or entire delivery chains. For this, we in part have own terminals at the individual locations.
Be it only one package, or for goods with a weight of up to 25 tons - we organise the overland transport with our own truck fleet or a reliable forwarding partner. Thereby, our employees pay particular attention to cost-efficient routes, reliability and adherence to delivery dates.
Loose raw products like coffee and cocoa are frequently transported in silos as bulk material. With our trucks, we transport commodities such as, e.g. coffee and cocoa in silo trailers to every desired location.
We safely and reliably transport everything from A to B that can be moved individually in one piece or packed in bags, bigbags, crates, bins or boxes. In so doing, we always ensure reliable securing of the goods and deliver in time - both with regard to Full Container Load (FCL) and with Less than Container Load (LCL).

Insurances and, as such, the issue of transfer of risk are important components of reliable distribution. In accordance with Incoterms, we take care of the corresponding papers and transport insurances. Regardless of whether the transport ensues via FOB, CIF, FCA or DDP: we have your commodity insured in accordance with your requirements.
Import & Export Services
As a recognised logistics and freight expert, in addition to the distribution, we assume responsibility for the complete process, including all documents and formalities concerning the import and export from and to Europe.
Be it in assuming responsibility for all processing steps regarding your imported goods or for selected import questions - we take care of the required documents, payment of Terminal Handling Charge (THC), crop protection and certificates of origin, customs clearance and the submission of the bill of lading (B/L).
Our service for your commodity includes everything revolving around the customs clearance for your goods: this covers everything from the dispatch notes (T1) to the customs clearance in the sea port or in the warehouse, right up to the export customs declaration, including all accompanying administration documents.
We assume responsbility for all processing steps regarding your exported goods and for the required documents, payment of the Terminal Handling Charges (THC), crop protection and certificates of origin and customs clearance.
Warehousing
Your goods are always in good hands with us. In our certified warehouses, we offer you own silo storage, cold storage and bonded and non-bonded warehouses for the storage and handling of your commodity. We are your reliable warehouse keeper with the forwarder associated with it.
We receive your delivered goods and control the containers and seals to confirm there is no damage and verify proper sealing.
Our warehouses satisfy the high quality requirements of independent institutions. Depending on the location, we are AEO, IFS, BRC, Organic and UTZ certified. The goods are in our warehouse and ready to be prepared for delivery to you or your customer. The warehouse rent is invoiced monthly. We safely store the good in bags, bigbags, cartons or boxes. In accordance with your customer requirements, we ensure that your goods can be called off at all times.
We store bulk cargo or bulk products such as, e.g. green coffee in modern silo facilities. Here, your goods are stored safely and reliably until required by you.
We safely, reliably and cost-efficiently store your goods in own modules (containers) in our external warehouse capacities. Thus, we can always react flexibly to your requirements.
We have been approved for cocoa storage at the commodity exchanges ICE Futures Europe and CME for many years. At the commodity exchanges ICE Futures Europe in London and ICE US in New York, we have been accepted as warehouse keepers for stock exchange coffee for years. We store Robusta Coffee for the London stock exchange and Arabica Coffee for the New York stock exchange. As a recognised warehouse keeper, we have been listed at the London Metal Exchange (LME) for many years.
With our own bonded warehouses, we offer interim storage for every commodity for untaxed or duty unpaid goods.
The safe storage of your commodity is of highest priority for us. Thus we count and weigh the stocks on behalf of our customers and support them with stock controls.
If you finance your goods with banks, we take care of the administrative management of the warehouse warrants.
We store deep-frozen products between -20 and -18 degrees Celsius and ensure constant controlling. We assume responsibility for the processing of all food monitoring formalities.
We store food between 2 and 6 degrees Celsius. Regular controls ensure that the goods remain refrigerated within the required temperature range and are available for delivery at all times.
Handling & Processing
Our services go far beyond pure warehousing. Upon delivery and storage, we offer you comprehensive value-added services for your high-quality goods and raw materials. The arriving containers and commodities are appraised by our especially trained and expert employees, examined, controlled and inspected for damage. We sample, weigh, blend, flavour and pick and pack your goods. What is more, at the most important locations, our warehouses are equipped with modern cleaning and pest combating facilities – thereby, we ensure high-quality further processing of your raw materials.
Depending on what the customer desires, we can blend your stored goods in accordance with your individual specifications. Here, for instance, the quality and flavour can remain constant for long time periods.
Depending on the type of goods and the customers requirements, your commodity passes through our cleaning systems. The stoning, sieving and additional metal separator ensures clean commodities and simplifies further processing.
We refine your commodity and flavour it with a variety of different blossoms, fruit pies or liquid flavours. For this, we reliably store your flavourings and aromas until processing.
We predominanty load and unload your bulk goods automatically with the help of machines. Deliveries of bags and boxes are loaded by hand by our employees, depending on the requirements.
The quality of your commodity is our greatest concern. Which is why we constantly perform quality controls and moisture analyses - according to customer requirements we also test for moulds/fungi (OTA) and pests.
On arrival, the goods are weighed and the landing accounts with the weights are then sent to you immediately by e-mail.
We perform samplings of all incoming goods for you. In accordance with industry norms and customer specifications, we create corresponding reference samples, retention samples and arbitrage samples in our warehouse.
Analyses such as OTA and aflatoxin are carried out in our own labs or in cooperation with our long-standing partners.
In the event of pest infestation, and depending on the type of pest, your commodity is fumigated in our pest control facilty. We combat pests on organic products with CO2, respectively with oxygen deprivation in our ECO2 facility.
We can send you, your laboratory, quality department or your customers fresh samples from stock at any time. The shipment is possible worldwide.
In the event of damage to your commodity, we perform an appraisal of damage in cooperation with an independent appraiser/surveyor and thereafter assume responsibility for the claims handling and processing.
If your goods need to be packed in a different packaging unit, we will take care of the repackaging. This can also be done if the packaging of the goods arrives damaged.
With our custom-built machines, we can repack from one packaging unit to another.
Included in our comprehensive warehouse portfolio is the refinement of your goods and freight by means of further processing. This includes performances such as: palletisation, repacking, packing, wrapping, stretching, marking, sorting, and picking and packing - but also rebundling, labelling and marking.
Your goods are taken from the warehouse and prepared for dispatch.
We offer all common pallet types according to your specifications and the requirements of the recipient. Sender-receiver related palletising services can be predefined without problems.
The goods can be safely prepared for shipping with the help of straps and foils.
We mark and label your goods for clear shipping information.
When the goods leave our warehouse, we do a re-weighing. This is a common method in coffee, for example, as the product can lose moisture and therefore weight during storage.
If you have bought goods from several traders, we can consolidate the goods into one shipment for you.
Regardless of whether we do the transport or whether you send a transporter to collect the goods from our warehouse, we will load the goods for you.
